PhD Top-up scholarships at Resource Management in Asia-Pacific Program, ANU 2008

Economics of Climate Change Adaptation

The Resource Management in Asia-Pacific Program (RMAP) is offering one or two top-up scholarships for PhD candidates at the ANU to work on the economics of adaptation to climate change impacts. Topics could include the economics of different adaptation options in Australia and Asia-Pacific region, the role of policy in adaptation, or transferability of Australian approaches to the region related to climate change.

These scholarships are part of Project 10 of the ANU Environmental Economics Research Hub (EERH). These top-ups pay a total of $24,000 ($6,000 per year as a stipend, and $2,000 per year toward research-related expenses, over three years). Please note this is not a full scholarship.

You would study at RMAP under the main supervision of Dr Frank Jotzo. You must already have or expect to have principal funding in the form of an APA or similar scholarship, and start your PhD in 2008, or are already enrolled and start your thesis research in 2008. Successful applicants can also benefit from links to Australian policymakers through the EERH. Applications are accepted until places are filled. Please contact frank.jotzo@anu.edu.au to discuss.
