Project documents
Project summary The aim of this research project is to explore the ways in which the Japanese and Australian governments address climate change issues in the Pacific Islands region, the ways in which government agencies or other organizations in the region react to the assistance offered by Japan and Australia, and the ways in which Pacific policy positions are developed and presented at a global level. Through these analyses, the research aims to identify the ways in which global climate change issues are addressed in a specific regional context, and the role of bilateral aid relationships in this regional policy process.
