Climate Seminar Series - The road to Copenhagen: a Pacific Island country's perspective on the climate negotiations
Mr Ian Fry

The international climate negotiations are gearing up for the Copenhagen meeting in December. While most interest is on what stance the large powers will take, it is small island states that have perhaps most at stake in the outcome. The Alliance of Small Island States is a small but active group in the negotiations, and works across a number of issues. This seminar discusses what Pacific islands are looking for from a global climate regime, and makes special reference to the negotiations on land use change and forestry issues.
