Irwan Sinaga

Irwan Sinaga

Irwan Sinaga, MA (Nottingham), BA (Gadjah Mada) commenced his PhD program at the Department of Political and Social Change in 2007. His research examines the dual roles of international migration intermediaries in networks-institutions-industries nexus affecting labor emigration and social construction of state's policies in Indonesia. His research interests include the issues of migrant workers and trafficking in persons, among others.

Irwan is an employee of the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Prior to the study leave, he completed a posting to the Indonesian Embassy in Washington, DC.
