Ms Allison Ley, Research Assistant
Allison carries out a variety of research tasks for the department, edits research papers and other writings of graduate students and academic staff members, and also runs the Pacific Islands electronic mailing lists.

Ms Lyn Ning, Departmental Administrator
As the first point of contact for the Department, Ms. Ning is responsible for all the administrative tasks relating to academics, Ph.D. students and visiting fellows. Ms Ning graduated from RSPAS in 2001 and has previously worked as an administrator in the Faculty of Asian Studies and Department of International Relations.

Ms Pham Thu Thuy, Research Assistant
Thuy performs various tasks such as researching, summarising and translating Vietnamese newspaper and journal articles. Other duties include collecting and filing newspaper clippings for research purposes and also the library tasks for department members of staff. Thuy has contributed two chapters entitled 'Representation of Doi Moi Society in Contemporary Vietnamese Cinema' and 'Speaking Pictures' in Mandy Thomas and Lisa Drummond, Consuming Urban Culture in Contemporary Vietnam, published by Routledge, 2003.
