Biographical Statement
I am an economic geographer with experience in the fields of public health and community economic development in Australia and Indonesia. My PhD research examined livelihoods, development and change in a rural, multi-ethnic Christian-Muslim village in East Nusa Tenggara province, Indonesia with particular focus on how low-conflict community relations evolve and are sustained.
Research Interests
Rethinking development and economy in light of post-structuralist critiques, diverse economies and natural resource management in 'lagging regions' of mainland Southeast Asia and Pacific Island countries, social and economic inclusion in mixed communities, the politics of wealth (re)distribution at community and enterprise levels
