The Bureau's newsletter, Pambu, has been in print since 1968. Pambu carries news of the Bureau's activities, microfilming projects, recent releases, fieldtrips, advertises books and presents articles by a wide range of people with an interest in the Pacific Islands region. The Bureau welcomes article contributions with a Pacific focus for consideration by Pambu's editorial team. If you would like to submit an article of between 500-1000 words for consideration by Pambu please contact the Bureau by e-mail, post, fax, telephone or visit us in person. Draft articles can be submitted as hard copies, on disk or sent to the Bureau via e-mail, preferably as rtf. attachments. The Bureau is particularly interested in articles about new sources of Pacific archives, manuscripts and records relating to church and missionary work, business, multinational corporations, labour, trade unions, political parties, constitutional developments, judiciaries, non-government organisations, government papers, ships' logs, linguistic material, genealogies, culture, gender issues, identity politics, sovereignty, governance, environmental change and conservation efforts, scientific reports, biodiversity, climate change, forestry and mining. Please contact the Bureau if you are interested in writing an article for consideration. You can e-mail the Bureau by contacting Ewan Maidment on pambu@coombs.anu.edu.au. |
