This conference is breaking new ground by investigating National Socialism and its impact, effect and aftermath in the Australasian region. It aims at deeper understandings of Australasian and German relations in the context of regional interactions and developments during the interwar years and the Second World War.

Academics from throughout the Australasian region will take part in a scholarly linking of expertise in the little researched field of the legacies of the German Empire in the Asia-Pacific region. It is envisaged that the conference will facilitate ongoing exchange and joint research projects.

The conference convenors are currently in negotiation with a renowned European publisher.
