Deep Linguistic Processing: Putting the Linguistics back into Computational Linguistics

Deep Linguistic Processing is a moniker for computational linguistics with strong theoretical linguistic underpinnings. In this talk, I will present a number of attempts to incorporate theoretical linguistics into computational linguistic research, and provide evidence that computational linguistics *can* be a right-headed compound.
