The Journal of Pacific History is a leading refereed journal in the field of Pacific studies, serving historians, anthropologists, political scientists and other researchers engaged with the Pacific Islands and their people.

The Journal explores political, economic, religious and cultural change; historical dimensions of contemporary developments; and different approaches to Pacific pasts. It also publishes notes on source materials, commentary on current affairs, book reviews and review articles, an annual bibliography of Pacific Islands research, and occasionally primary documents. Contributions of a comparative or theoretical nature that address questions of significance for the Pacific are welcome.
