Iris Wielders, BA, MA Political Science/International Relations (University of Amsterdam), MA International Humanitarian Assistance (University of Groningen)

Iris Wielders Iris is investigating accountability dilemmas in international cooperative interventions in conflict affected states. Her case studies include Solomon Islands and East Timor. She has worked as a conflict analyst in Solomon Islands and Fiji, including one and a half years as a UNDP Crisis Prevention and Recovery Specialist, seconded to the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat as its first Conflict Prevention Adviser. Other work experiences include the European Centre for Conflict Prevention and the Centre for Peace and Conflict Studies at the University of Sydney, and she has worked as a lecturer at Webster University in the Netherlands and at the University of Sydney. Her interests include conflict analysis, linkages between land and conflict, peacebuilding and modalities of aid and intervention in conflict affected/fragile states.
