The cosmopolitan militaries project was located within the Department of International Relations in the Research School of Pacific and Asian Studies, the Australian National University between 2002 and 2005. The principal researchers were Dr Lorraine Elliott, Senior Fellow in the Department, and Dr Graeme Cheeseman, Visiting Fellow in the School of Politics at the Australian Defence Force Academy.
