The 2009 Elections in Indonesia: Parties and Candidates
Marcus Mietzner (South East Asia Centre, ANU)

In this seminar, I will discuss the upcoming parliamentary and presidential elections in Indonesia. I will explain recent changes to the electoral system that have fundamentally altered the way members of parliament get selected, introduce the key parties and candidates, and give an update on the most recent opinion surveys and voting trends.
