AWARD OF THE H.W. ARNDT PRIZE

The purpose of the H.W. Arndt Prize is to encourage young Indonesian economists working in academia, government, business and elsewhere to publish research on their own economy. The experience of preparing research papers for publication in an international journal, having them subjected to the refereeing process, and then having them exposed to the scrutiny of the international academic economics community, is one of the most important means by which individual economists can build up their capabilities, and by which the advancement of the economics profession is achieved.

H.W. Arndt Prize for 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008

The Indonesia Project regrets to announce that it was not possible to award the H.W. Arndt Prize for the best article by one or more Indonesian authors published in the Bulletin of Indonesian Economic Studies in 2005, 2006, 2007 or 2008, because no eligible articles were published in those years.
