Doctoral Studies on China at the Australian National University
The Australian National University (ANU) is one of the foremost institutions in the world for doctoral studies on China. The university’s academic staff includes more than forty China specialists in the social sciences and humanities. The ANU library and nearby National Library of Australia house two of the largest Chinese language collections in the Western world. The ANU publishes The China Journal, East Asian History, and the Asian Studies Review. The ANU has institutionalized exchanges with Peking University, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the Academia Sinica in Taipei, and numerous other Chinese universities and research institutes. All doctoral students receive fieldwork funding and close personal supervision. br>
