RSPAS envoy confuses hacks

Mike Bourke of somewhere upstairs was yacking at the the Divine Word University in Madang last week. His message was, I can only assume, something to do with land, agriculture and indicators of poverty. Alas, this is not how it came out.

PNG has one of the highest maternal death rates of 930 every pregnancy, which means that every mother who is pregnant has about 1% changes of surviving due to birth complication (The National 19 May 2008).

Well, who’d be a mother, eh?

Students at Divine Word can
only gasp as the airlift of
emergency statistical textbooks
goes horribly wrong.

In other news, students at the University of Papua New Guinea raided the Port Moresby campus on Saturday and set a vehicle on fire.
